NOMEC

Neighbors Opposed to Moriah Energy Center (NoMEC) is a group of concerned citizens who live near the site of Dominion Energy's proposed liquid natural gas (LNG) storage facility in Rougemont, NC.  NoMEC is asking the North Carolina Department of Air Quality to deny Dominion's air permit application for this project.  NoMEC is also asking the Person County Commissioners to reverse their decision to rezone to this property from rural conservation to general industrial.

Our asks of the Commissioners:

• Do not allow Dominion to build the MEC

• Do not rezone the property to general industrial

• Embrace sustainable development
